this Massachusetts-based prog-rock band apart is not just its
instrumental chops -- half of the band holds music degrees -- but its
compositional ones, as well. Inspired by the classic sci-fi film, this
tightly structured 14-minute opus owes an obvious debt to forerunners
such as King Crimson and Gentle Giant, yet never once stoops to mimicry.
