Its been 10 years since we first heard the debut from the Massachusetts based quartet Eccentric Orbit. The follow up album, Creation Of The Humanoids features a reconstituted lineup that in many ways improves upon the original. While bassist Bill Noland wrote all of the material on the debut, this time around there are significant contributions from electric violinist Tom Benson who also plays guitar synth. The addition of violin as a lead instrument adds a bit more fire to the band's old school sound. Madeleine Noland creates all the textures from wind controlled synthesizers and conventional keyboards. You want the 'tron? Its here. If you are looking for prog with a capital P look no further. Eccentric Orbit will definitely scratch that itch. Highly recommended.
